| Description: | This auction is for a rare 1889 Goodwin Round Album A35 of the 19th Century Hall Of Fame Superstar - John Ward. These large 8 1/4 inch lithographs have gorgeous overall eye appeal and are one of the first issues with statistics on the back. This premium of Ward is in very nice condition free of the usual peripheral tears or pin holes although it does have a couple of faint "thumb" wrinkles. The album came with 12 premiums tied together with a tassle through the punchhole on the left. This example of Ward has worn away the paper stock to the left of the punchhole probably freeing itself from the album at some point. Otherwise it grades VG/EX. |
