| Description: | This auction is for a 1928 Tharp's Ice Cream F50 vintage pre-war baseball card of the New York Yankees Legendary Hall Of Famer - Lou Gehrig #26. This RARE vintage ice cream issue of Lou was produced early in his Yankees career and it is in great condition for this issue with a bold clear image and strong overall eye appeal. It does have light corner wear and has been professionally graded by Sportscard Guaranty an SGC 60 or EXCELLENT 5. At the time of the listing, it is the HIGHEST graded SGC Tharp's Gehrig and ONLY SGC 60 (1 of 1). SGC has only graded a total of SIX Tharp Gehrig cards with the next highest being an SGC 35. |
